As a long time ADHD coach, I value the skills I learned and the degree of professional expertise I gained by training at the ADD Coach Academy. As a member of the second class ADHD Coach Training Program and the first class of the Professional ADHD Coach Training Program, I definitely received First Class training in both programs!!! The curriculum is well designed and extremely comprehensive, while David Giwerc and his staff are masterful coaches as well as excellent teachers and role models. I have referred many prospective coaches to ADDCA through the years, and will continue to do so. From my perspective, ADDCA is the only ADHD coach training program that gives students a solid foundation in general life coaching and ADHD coaching with a thorough understanding of both.
David, thank you so much for presenting such a thorough and information-filled course...I feel I will have to revisit the information often to fully absorb it all! But equally important was the connected, accepting atmosphere you created for us in each and every class; I looked forward to each class, as I suspect all my classmates did also!
So thank you so much for what you taught and for who you are. You are truly a wonderful model of masterful coaching and compassionate being!

The year-long ADD Coach Training I received from the ADD Coaching Academy (www.ADDCA.com) has not only taught the uniquely effective skills of individualized coaching but it helped manifest an amazing personal transformation as it converged with my growing interest, search and understanding of the biological and mental dynamics my own ADD. This new learning, coupled with 28 years of Quality Engineering and Human Performance Management experience in manufacturing and nuclear power production, has led to profound discoveries and perspectives, some personal but all converging on more meaning for all life in general. The result has been a powerful passion and great opportunity for me to help others seeking similar transformation or support.
This is the best commitment I ever made to myself. Whether working with students, young adults or adults, this class will bring greater insight into the powerful impact coaching can provide. I look forward to helping others uncover their gifts and talents and become more aware of the strengths they have to offer. read full testimonial
Thanks to the ADD Coach Academy I have been able to finally “live up to my full potential” and utilize the strengths and talents that were locked inside for so many years. If it weren’t for the ADDCA training, my personal and professional life would be more chaotic. Thanks for the clarity! read full testimonial

When you think of coaching clients who have some degree of ADHD there is no better place to train than the ADD Coach Academy. After one phone class you know the passion about the subject and coaching that David Giwerc demonstrates. He makes everyone in the class right, actively listens, and brings out the students who want to ask questions but are concerned about asking questions. I know that I have learned a great deal that supplements my understanding of ADHD in both theory and practice. I thoroughly endorse the methods of teaching and the quality of the materials and the instruction. read full testimonial

I love every minute of this course! ..... ADDCA's ADHD perspective is exactly what I was looking for! The process of self-discovery and self-knowledge, which David Giwerc encourages and fosters so well, is an absolutely necessary for deepening self-awareness, developing greater clarity about one's self as well as one's clients........all resulting in a much more sensitive and effective coach for the ADHD client!
David's unique blend of diverse systems of thought into the coaching paradigm is priceless. He has melded comprehensive information on ADHD with the general coaching curriculum - and made it fun, too!
David is such a warm, caring, GREAT role model for us all - and he and ADDCA have not only extended my knowledge and understanding of the coaching process, but also renewed my passion for coaching!
My best suggestion is to go through the coach training with David Giwerc at www.addca.com
I am not a coach, I am a career counselor, but...I do know that there are many ways into the coaching arena, and you will want to get your training from the very BEST! In my opinion (after 23 years in the ADD field)....David Giwerc and the ADD Coach Academy provides THE best training there is!

I recommend ADDCA for anyone interested in mastering the skills needed for ADHD coaching! From the moment I first talked to David, I knew I was in the right place.
I checked out several coaching schools before making my decision, and ADDCA was by far the most attractive. Now that I have completed the course, I am grateful that I did my homework on this decision up front. The importance of ADDCA's focus and dedication to ADHD education and awareness becomes more apparent to me every day in my coaching practice..
David Giwerc has the qualities and skills found in the very best teachers. He imparts crucial information while he creates and nurtures a passion for coaching and for self-awareness in ourselves and our clients. As I learned the unique skills needed for ADHD coaching, my understanding of my own ADHD grew, which in turn has given me newfound insight and a strong sense of passion and purpose in my coaching practice, as well as in the other aspects of my life.

I attended the ADD Coach Academy from September 2002 through May 2003 and received my coach certification in August of 2003. I had decided to become an ADD coach as I prepared for retirement from thirty years of college teaching, most of which I had done at the two-year college level. My teaching experiences had convinced me that many very bright and otherwise capable students were not succeeding in the two-year college environment because they had undetected learning disabilities and ADHD.
I found the program at ADDCA to be very interesting and helpful to my coaching plans. Not only did I learn a great deal about ADHD and how it affects a person cognitively, but also I was made aware of the psychological and personal toll that undetected and untreated ADD can exact. I learned how to help a client understand ADHD, seek diagnosis, and then begin to plan for a more fulfilling life after seeking treatment for the condition.
The organizer and instructor of the course, David Giwerc, was unfailingly enthusiastic and encouraging as we completed our course of study. I especially appreciated his emphasis on helping clients think in positive and self-rewarding ways – something that I have learned and modeled in all aspects of my life. Another thing that I enjoyed and felt was a good learning tool was working with other students in “buddy coaching” situations and in in-class practical applications of what we were learning.
All in all, I am pleased to recommend the ADD Coach Academy for those seeking a comprehensive approach to working with individuals who think they have ADHD or have been diagnosed with it.

The ADD Coach Academy taught me that in order to really know ADHD, I had to know my own ADHD. This was a valuable lesson!
David Giwerc is a truly wonderful individual who clearly cares deeply for people. Training with David has prepared me to coach clients with the utmost care, respect, and passivity. I feel very fortunate to have him as a mentor.

Going through the ADDCA experience is a truly unique and empowering experience.
Because of the very personal and intimate issues addressed and how they are presented, your learning experience is tremendously enhanced because your learning as much with your heart as you are with your head. Consequently, not only do you get a great ADD coaching education; you develop, what I sincerely expect to be life-long friendships in your classmates and teachers.
I have been through a general coach training program. It was also a good, positive experience, but none of what I have written up to this point about ADDCA could ever apply to any other training program. It's all a result of David Giwerc's knowledge and passion for ADD Coaching and his commitment to his student's success.

ADD Coach Academy encompasses many facets of coaching the ADD
individual. ADDCA has provided me with a warehouse of information, insight
on the ADD brain, updated research, personal stories and role plays.
David Giwerc is a highly skilled instructor, who sets the pace for a friendly,
teamwork approach. His innate ability to coach and facilitate the group is
an inspiration to us all. As a facilitator, he makes sure that every idea
is looked at during our brainstorming sessions. He has respect for each
individual's uniqueness.
The ADDCA's curriculum has not only taught me about The Human Engine, it's
functioning, cognition, modes of processing information, and an
understanding of preferred & dominant modalities but it also has given me
the feeling of support & confidence needed to start my business.
This class is conducted on a special phone bridge line. I like to think of
it as bridging the gap between my coaching skills and an understanding of
the unique ADD mind!

As a lifelong learner who's experienced innumerable seminars, workshops and training, I place the ADDCA program at the top of the list in providing great value for its students. The need is great for professionally trained ADHD coaches and ADDCA is fulfilling this need with excellence and dedication. The classes and labs are bursting with up-to-the minute information about ADHD. It's presented in ways that show coaches-in-training how and when to use the information to educate clients and advocate on their behalf.
The training is thorough and covers all aspects of ADHD from the global to the specific. In all ways, it is respectful, compassionate and rigorous. I heartily recommend ADDCA to coaches who want the best in ADHD training.

During the past year, I participated in Attention Deficit Coach Training
through David Giwerc's program, ADD Coach Academy. Previous to taking part
in this curriculum, I spent seven years as a multi-sensory remidiator,
working with ADD individuals facing specific language, perceptual and
organizational challenges. Despite my knowledge/experience base, I found
ADDCA's curriculum extremely valuable. It addressed modalities, research
findings, neurology, medication and titration, including concepts and
strategies which could realistically and effectively be implemented to
enable individuals with ADD to enrich their lives. The training
additionally, required that its participant take part in role-plays, a
crucial component in acquiring the strategies and skills necessary in ADD
Coaching.

"Going to the ADD Coach Academy has been a wonderful journey for me! I started out with an interest in helping my son, by furthering my knowledge of ADD. The ADD Coach Academy showed me there is much to appreciate about my own ADD, and taught me how to pass that positive awareness on to my clients.
ADDCA gave me a process for getting a diagnosis, treatment, and knowledge
about my type of ADD and my preferred mode of learning. In turn, I am
prepared to guide my clients through their own process of living successful,
joyous lives.

For many years I searched for a professional career that would fit a very strict personal criterion:
A profession of high integrity and standards.
An opportunity to work with people, assisting them to reach their highest potential.
A chance to work for myself, from my home.
A great salary potential.
A career that would make me jump out of bed in the morning with enthusiasm and energy.
A professional community that would supports me as I develop my skills.
As I diligently searched for such a career, I found coaching. I interviewed many coaching schools before I found the ADD Coaching Academy. Being ADD, I realized that I could help myself while I learned to help others. This is how I met David Giwerc, the president and founder of ADDCA. In him, I found the ultimate mentor to help me create the profession of my dreams. David uses his knowledge of ADD and combines it with the skills of a Master Coach. Our classes are exciting and insightful. He inspires his students, and his methods are easy to learn and understand. I will always be grateful to David Giwerc for developing such a needed program for the millions of people with ADD.

It's really hard to imagine where my life would be right now if I had not discovered ADD Coaching. I'm fortunate to have been diagnosed, even if it was at the late age of 32, and I am equally fortunate to have discovered David Giwerc, an entrepreneurial coach who lives nearby. I wonder, if only this disability were identified years before, where would my life be now?
David initially helped me identify my 'preferred modality' of all these years -- I discovered I'm not the abhorrent-authority hating melancholy thinker identified years ago. Rather, I truly am a 'flaming' cerebral thinker requiring kinesthetic motion and a 'right-livelihood' needed to express my many emotions. For most of my life, I really struggled to make sense of who I am. Finally, ADD Coaching has allowed me to identify my many strengths including my ability to communicate making the complicated simple and meaningful.
After getting diagnosed, I quickly raced to read the latest books on my non-linear thinking cerebral cortex. I found comfort in hearing my own personal struggle identified -- particularly when it came to relationships. I found even greater comfort in someone who understood me ... quickly... and who was willing to partner with the old miserable me. David uprooted my downward thinking and low self-esteem and continues to foster trust and belief in who I am and what I aspire to do.
As a believer in Chinese fortune cookies, I once read "Progress is taking on NEW problems." Before coaching my life circled the same old worn path of mediocrity. I often felt that I had spent much of my time swimming up-stream only to discover the tide I was swimming against was in my own thinking. David has helped me and my business, Videos For Change Productions, begin to flow in an amazingly clearer path. It is a miracle of sorts just to get my own body to do what my mind generally refuses-- like throwing out boxes of stored papers and meaningless robbers of energy. I am more than amazed at the many, many positive results I've experienced in less than six months -- I am grateful.
One of the first things David did was visit me in my home office. He left in my office a phone headset for me to borrow saying, "Your gonna like this." I immediately said a few pleasant things to myself like, "I can't wear this. This isn't me.... I don't deserve this." Fortunately, I got past my thoughts and discovered what it must feel like to be an air-traffic controller with so many projects swirling in the sky. I experienced a sense of power and began to feel freed-up and in-charge. That truly is the power of ADD Coaching, to be unraveled and forward moving.
I now see my life as having two parts. Part ONE: Pre-diagnosis, filled with fear, doubt, anger and depression. Part TWO: post-diagnosis where coaching helps take the pressure off so I can function optimally. Things are exciting! Fun! And I enjoy being more in-charge of me. My future is
filled with opportunity and sometimes fear, yet I'm now able to get my body to do what my mind has always wanted to do. And I'm experiencing success. There are still areas I look to grow, yet it's nice to know I face them with a raving fan constantly in my corner. That's all I needed was one person to believe in me.
It seems criminal at times to be having so much fun doing what I'm doing. Coaching with David Giwerc is a partnership in taking on one life challenge after another. It has made such a difference I only need to look to the quality of my personal life, my marriage, my passionate profession of choice and my many relations to recognize change. David has taught me that ultimately, I control but one thing: the power of my own thoughts. In Part TWO, it's a choice I optimally embrace each and every morning.

In my experience, I have found that most teens with ADD have not had this

students to understand both themselves and the steps they need to take to
be successful in school.
