ADHD:
Grown Up
A Guide to Adolescent &
Adult ADHD
An essential clinical
resource when working with adult ADHD clients.
ADHD Grown Up
thoroughly explores the three major types of
ADHD, discussing the impact of the disorder
on the individual and showing how symptoms
frequently transition from adolescence into
adulthood. The book provides clear guidance
on how to diagnose adolescents and adults
with ADHD, and discuses common co-occurring
conditions such as depression, anxiety,
learning disorders, fatigue and chronic
pain.
Written by a seasoned psychiatrist and
clinical researcher, ADHD Grown Up
delves into difficult cases such as the
rebellious ADHD adolescent, the
substance-abusing young adult with
longstanding ADHD, and middle-aged women
with inattentive ADHD and fibromyalgia.
Drawing on scores of actual case studies,
ADHD Grown Up demonstrates
psychotherapeutic techniques and offers the
latest information on medication approaches.
