So, what makes this ADD-friendly? Review from ADD Coach Toni Wood, ACG... "You've seen watches that you can set alarms to take medicine with, right? And they have other messages too: pay attention, do your homework, go to class, and a host of others. This watch allows you to type whatever you want .... versus choose from a pre-selected list. The sky is the limit. This watch also allows you to store contacts in it. And it works with Microsoft Outlook! It gives you opportunity to put in schedules, alarms, appointments, and notes (I put in my son's SSN - I can never remember it when I go the doctor's office!). It comes with a program on a small CD, for you to install onto your computer, as well as the cable to link your watch to your computer. It's water resistant to 100 meters, has indiglo night-light (with NIGHT-MODE feature), has multiple countdown, and many other features. I went to the store to buy a PDA once, and left without one because after 3 hours I still couldn't find one that I felt sure I wouldn't lose, and that I would be comfortable using. Granted this watch is much easier to enter the data from the computer (when it's linked) than manually, but I keep a small notebook on me to capture that information until I can get home to my computer. This watch is like a mini-computer, and I don't lose it because it's always on my wrist. I keep the cable plugged into the USB port so I don't have to wrestle with it every night; I plug it in and enter new information, as though I was typing it into an online program, than I hit send and my watch is updated." |
